Description; Connolly's Corner is hosting a Fundraiser for the NYC Firefighters Brotherhood Foundation. They are active and retired FDNY firefighters who have been directly affected by serious illness and injury due to exposure to our hazardous work environment. They strive to put FDNY firefighters together with other FDNY firefighters to provide emotional , physical , and financial support.
After losing 343 members on 9/11/01, the death toll continues to climb. Many of our Brave members who worked on the "pile" in an effort to recover civilian's and firefighters, have now become ill.
We cannot carry out the important work of taking care of our ill/injured Brothers and Sisters without your help and support.
We are holding a fundraiser at Connolly's Corner on Sunday February 28th, 2010 from 1p-5p. We encourage firehouses and anyone who would like to take part in a "Chili Cookoff" to contact Mary at 718-565-7383 or mary@connollyscorner.com. it will a great fun filled day with raffles, door prizes, auctions and more.
A $25 donation at the door entitles you to two Bud or Bud light beers and enters you into many drawing sfor great door prizes.

** NOTE ** this fundraiser is being graciously hosted by the families of FDNY firefighters killed on 9/11. The Freeport 9/11 FDNY families group has stepped up to run this fundraiser. please come out and support the cause...and please visit the website of the bar/restaurant that is kindly hosting this fundraiser.
